How to Survive a 16gb Phone

For the phone market today, the minimum requirement for storage should be 32gb. But since there's phones that have 16gb as the lowest storage available, that's not enough storage for the people who bought the phone, since it's cheaper. I'm going to show you how to survive with a phone with 16gb of storage.

Upload Photos to the Cloud

If you take a lot of photos on your phone, then photos will hog up the memory on your phone. What I would do, and this is available on both iPhone and Android, download Google Photos. Google makes it easier for both iPhone and Android to backup your photos and save them in the cloud with unlimited space. What's also cool with Google Photos is that you can search photos by face or keywords like chihuahua or trees and it will bring up all of the photos chihuahuas or trees.

Stream Your Music Library

If you're not subscribed to a music streaming, then you should start. Streaming music allows you to listen to music over your mobile data or wifi and not downloading it to your phone. The music services that I recommend are Spotify(Android and iPhone), Google Play Music(Android and iPhone) and Apple Music(iPhone and Android). If you have a music library on your laptop and want to stream that to your phone, well, you can. For Android I recommend Google Play Music, which is both a streaming music service and uploading music the cloud, and for the iPhone iCloud, since your iTunes library is connected to iCloud you can stream your entire library to your phone.

Use Your Browser Instead of Downloading the Apps

If you use Facebook, Twitter or stuff that has a website, use the browser on your phone. What's cool about doing this is that you can also bookmark those websites and save them on your homescreen, for both Android and iPhone and you can only do the with the chrome browser and safari.

Keep Your Most Used Apps, Get rid of the Rest

Okay, look at your phone and see how many apps you have on there, is it a lot? Then I recommend you to go through your apps and delete the ones that you don't use. It will not only free up space on your phone but you can also make it a habit so you can download more apps on your phone.
