At Apple's developer conference, WWDC, they released the 10.5 inch iPad Pro and iOS 11, and for iPads, it makes it function like a Macbook. So the question comes up, do people need laptops anymore? Well, yes and no.

Yes, a tablet can replace your laptop because of two main reasons. Laptops are becoming tablets! Microsoft Surface Pro for example, it's a tablet that runs a full version of Windows 10 and accessories to give users a laptop like experience while using the device.

Another reason, a lot of work is being put in the cloud. Documents, presentations, and spreadsheets are being put in the cloud for people to easily access and edit them without it being stored on the device itself. By having just a tablet like the iPad Pro, you can edit and present these documents using a light and portable device.

No, a tablet can't replace your laptop because they are just not powerful enough to do certain jobs like graphic designs, software development, and more. With specific tablets there's just certain software you can't download on them to do these devices and that there's I/O ports that are not available on them.

The Answer? Yes for specific things. If you just want something to edit documents on the go, get a tablet like the iPad Pro. If you do intense graphic work and other things, get a laptop or use a desktop.
