Nintendo Announced the Super NES Classic Edition

After the discontinuation of the popular and hard to find NES Classic edition, people were both heartbroken and finding rumors of the next Classic edition Nintendo console. Today those rumors become true when Nintendo announced the Super NES Classic Edition.

The console is following in the NES Classic Edition's footsteps with a small form factor and room for two controllers. This time two controllers are included in the box, instead of buying them separately, and it's a new peripheral, since the Wii series is dead.

The console is going to have 21 games pre installed on the device. A few of the games being Super Mario World, Mario Kart, The Legend of Zelda: A Link in Time, and a never-before-released version of Starfox 2.

It's available September 29 (before the holiday season) and it will cost $79.99. It's currently unavailable for pre-orders in the US but it is in other countries. To be updated in retailers offering the device and up for pre-order click here.
