Google's CEO Promises More Daydream Compatible Phones Before the end of the Year


Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, just announced that 11 more device will be added to the list of Daydream compatible devices before the end of the year.


Google announced Google Daydream as a more advanced version of mobile VR, not to replace Google Cardboard. You can’t just run Google Daydream software on any Android phone, Google set requirements for OEM’s to make their devices compatible with the software. Right now there’s a small catalog of device that are support Daydream, including Google’s own Pixel line and the latest being the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, and update is being sent out to devices now.

Being an exciting week so far for Sundar Pichai, he decided to spread along his joy by announcing that there are going to be 11 more devices being added to the list of Google Daydream device. Right now, all we can guess that one of the devices are going to the updated Pixel devices and unreleased devices.
