Nintendo Switch Online App available on July 21st With Splatoon 2

Along with the announcement of the Nintendo Switch was the announcement of its online multiplayer service "Nintendo Switch Online". Four months later and we are now getting an app on July 21st with the first compatible game, Splatoon 2.

Before we talk about the app, let's go over the service itself. The online service is going to offer online gameplay and chat between anyone who has the service. When the full version of the service is available next year, you'll also be able to play virtual console games by downloading them to your Switch. The online service is available for free until 2018 after, users are going to choose a payment. One month will be $3.99, three month will be $7.99, and the annual plan will be $19.99.

The Switch Online app will handle all the online communication between players and I mean it will handle all of the communication features. While playing a game you'll have to have your phone out if you want to talk to other players during online gameplay. Leaks are coming out of gaming headsets for the Switch and it involves two connections, one to your phone and one to your Switch.

I will be going over the app and game when they are both available, stay tuned.
