Guide to Pokemon Go

You guys might or heard the big news but if you didn't know the new AR app, Pokemon Go, was released this weekend. The app is available on Android and iOS and is only available in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and more countries coming soon. If you guy's just downloaded the app and have no idea what to do, then this is the right place for you.

Pokemon

The whole point of Pokemon Go is to catch Pokemon in the real world. Pokemon are randomly placed throughout the world, including your city, and once you find one you can catch them and increase your level. In order to capture pokemon you first of all need to get close to it. Once you see it you need to tap it and the app will bring you to the screen as shown in the picture. To capture it you basically aim the pokeball at the pokemon and throw it. If you didn't missed and the pokemon went into the pokeball, you caught your first pokemon.

WARNING:

Some pokemon can escape your pokeball and run away. This only happens to the rare pokemon that you find, like Pikachu. So if you find a rare pokemon and it doesn't run away, congratulations!

HINT:

Did you know you can get pokemon eggs and hatch your own pokemon. All you need to do is first of all get an egg. Next, you need to put your egg in a incubator and in order to hatch the egg the app tracks the length you walked, 2Km and 5Km. once you complete that length the egg hatches. Also you can level up pokemon with candy and stardust.

Pokestop

Pokestops are basically a way to get stuff.

You can get:

• Pokeballs
• Pokemon eggs

Level 5

• Potions
• Revives
• Raz Berries

Level 10, 12, 15

• Super Potions
• Great Balls
• Hyper potions

Pokestops are basically a way to get free stuff that you need in order to play the game. You can get buy pokeballs and supplies with actual money but if you want a free way to get these items find a pokestop.

Gyms

Gyms in Pokemon Go is where you can fight your pokemon against pokemon in other teams. Once you reach level 5, the requirement level in order to use a gym, you have to pick one of the three teams, red, yellow and blue. Once you pick a team the whole point of the gym is to make the other team lose and lose their hold of the gym. If you win, you can leave a pokemon at the gym and claim it for your team.
