The Newest Mods in the MotoMod line up

The Lenovo owned company just released the last two modular accessories of the 2016 year for their flagship Moto Z line.

The first MotoMod is a battery pack from Mophie. The $79.99 power pack has a 3,000mAh battery, bigger then the Incipio power pack. You have two ways to charge the mod, through the USB-C port in the mod itself or through the USB-C port through the phone, of course charging the phone first then the MotoMod. This MotoMod is different then the Incipio mod, in order for the mod to charge the phone you need to press the button on the back of the mod, just like Mophie cases. There is one thing that this power pack is missing is that it has no wireless charging capabilities so don't expect your wireless to work on this mod.

The second MotoMod that was announced was a car dock that was built by Incipio. Once you connect your phone to the mod Android Auto boots up to provide a simple interface while driving. You can also plug in a 3.5mm jack from the radio to the mod to play music. The mod clips on to the air vent and can rotate.

Motorola promises that it will release more mods in 2017, more then 2016.

I'm personally excited for the upcoming mods next year because I'm planning to get a Moto Z Play for my daily driver for the 2017/18 year.
