Why I still prefer the Google Pixel then the Samsung Galaxy S8

Even though the new Samsung Galaxy S8 has the new 5.8 Infinity Display with little to no bezels, Snapdragon 835, an Octa-Core processor, and the latest AI assistant that is in the phone, I still prefer the Google Pixel. Crazy I know.

One of the main reasons why is that it has little to no bloatware with updates straight from Google. With the S8, sure the software might be good but, it runs Android 7.0 with Samsung's UI on top of it, which means that it software updates take a long time and features are added that is only available for it. With the Pixel you get software that is straight from Google, and updates are delivered to the hardware within a few weeks.

Bixby is another reasons. For those who don't know, Sammy bought the company that made Apple's Siri to help make their own AI better(remember SVoice). Since Google Assistant is available on most Android phones already, having it on the S8 and Bixby seems a little bit to much. It does give users a choice but the company expects it's users to use it, they even implemented a proprietary button in each device. It also seems like its copying Google, with the info cards with a swipe to the left on the Home screen.

I'm not trying the throw this device underneath the bus, its an amazing phone. This post is based on opinion, you might be different, you might prefer the S8, the Pixel, or both! A review is on its way for the S8.
