The display is a 5.2IN full HD display, the size allows students for easy portability by letting them to easily putting the Moto G5 Plus in their pocket or bag. This device also has a fast processor that also allows you to save battery, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with an octa-core CPU. Being a Motorola device, the camera is okay. The rear camera with 12MP and the front camera is 5MP, in the right light you can get good pictures but it struggles in low light, the bright side is that it records in 4K. The iPhone SE was on last years back to school smartphone list and it was such a great device that I’m putting it the list again! Well, kinda. Earlier this year Apple decided to revamp the SE by adding different storage options, other than that it’s still the same iPhone SE that we saw last year, an iPhone 6S in a iPhone 5S’s body. While being the same phone as last year, it’s still a great phone, it’s the cheapest iPhone that Apple sales at around $400 but it’s perfect for someone who either just wants a normal smartphone or iPhone. Oh! And it has a headphone jack!

3. The OnePlus 5


OnePlus is known for putting flagship phone specs into a mid-range device, and they did that again with their 2017 flagship device. For the OnePlus 5 they added a speedy Snapdragon 835 processor with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a dual camera setup. They did keep their own fast-charge technology called DashCharge, faster the Qualcomm’s fast-charge technology, you can easily charge up your phone in under an hour. The display is mid-range, it’s a 5.5in 1080p HD display, but it’s okay for video consumption and other media. This phone’s perfect for the student who wants a high end phone for a $479 price tag
